Do It Youself: Sewing Kit in a Jar

There are so many things you can do with Mason jars... use them as glasses, store your homemade goodies, but this adorably mending kit from Anthropology takes the cake! I am seriously loving the cuteness factor and functionality, but for $48, I'll make my own. Here's how I'm going to do it:
Items for jar:
-small scissors, straight pins & needles in separate container, black and white thread, measuring tape, chalk, safety pins, pin cushion
-for the pin cushion in the lid, cut canvas or linen, stuff with cotton batting, to create dome. Hot glue gun insert back to lid and voila!
Cuteness in a jar.
